DEDICATED TO PROFESSIONAL SERVICE JOHN M. ELIAS, P.A. offers the client over 25 years experience. The firm specializes in general civil litigation matters including personal injury, wrongful death and professional malpractice, in all State and Federal Courts. The firm also practices in the area of municipal law. As alternatives to litigation, Mr. Elias, provides mediation services in dispute resolutions. JOHN M. ELIAS came to Florida in 1974 from Pittsburgh, PA, where he was employed as a Special Attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice. In 1974 he joined the law firm of Harrison, Greene, Mann, Rowe & Stanton, St. Petersburg, Florida. While with the firm, he specialized in the areas of personal injury, wrongful death, product liability, railroad and professional malpractice. In 1983 he resigned as a partner to establish his own office and continued to specialize in general civil trial matters. In 1991 he formed Elias & Davis, P.A. In January, 1995 Mr. Elias formed John M. Elias, P.A. where he continues to specialize in personal injury, wrongful death and professional malpractice. JOHN M. ELIAS is a Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer, and a Certified Mediator. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree, Marquette University, 1965 and a Juris Doctor degree, University of Kentucky College of Law, 1968. He is admitted to the practice of law in Florida and Kentucky, the United States Supreme Court, United States District Court for the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and Fifth Circuit. Mr. Elias is a member of the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the Florida Bar, the Kentucky Bar, the American Bar Association, the Clearwater and St. Petersburg Bar Associations. He was a Captain in the United States Army from 1968 to 1970. Mr. Elias has been the City Attorney for the City of Seminole since 1981 and also serves as the City Attorney for the Town of Belleair Shore and as a Special Master for the City of St. Petersburg Beach, Florida. He is a member and past President of Rotary Club of Seminole and member of the Board of Directors of the Greater Seminole Area Chamber of Commerce and active in other community affairs.
